Holmes' Cry For Help?

Katie Holmes' cry for help

So last night -- being Thursday and whatnot -- we decided to have the guys over for some beer, poker and of course So You Think You Can Dance? We're kidding. We had the guys over after we watched So You Think You Can Dance? through a veil of shameful tears. In our defense, we only tuned in because of the overly hyped Katie Holmes guest appearance. Um, what the hell was that? A prerecorded, lip-synched Judy Garland song with minimal dance moves beyond some "taa-daa!" jazz hands? Isn't the whole point of being on a talent-driven reality show to risk possible failure and humiliation in front of a live audience? And when did famous people start getting jealous of our normalcy? We're pretty sick of it, actually. We'd prefer to see talented nobodies doing backflips and cartwheels in a live homage to Vanilla Ice than watch Katie Holmes work out her childhood issues in a low-rent music video. All this to say, we're pretty sure it was a cry for help on Katie's part. Think about it; it's not like Katie can say: "I'm a prisoner in my own life. Please help" openly, but doesn't performing Judy Garland on So You Think You Can Dance? say that anyway? Just a thought.
