Biography
Gisele Caroline Bundchen was born on July 20, 1980, in Horizontina, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. We can only imagine the chaos that was the Bundchen household, considering Gisele grew up with five sisters -- Raquel, Graziela, Gabriela, Patricia, and Rafaela. The road to becoming the world's most sought-after model came by chance for Gisele, after she was spotted by an Elite agent while eating a Big Mac at a Sao Paulo McDonald's with her friends at the age of 14. Despite her father's disagreement with her career choice, Gisele moved to the city. In 1995, she entered the Elite Look Modeling Competition, and that's how it all got started

Gisele Bundchen graced the cover of Vogue in 1999, with a tagline that read "The Return of the Sexy Model." The cover not only made Gisele a household name, many fashion industry vets have credited the cover as putting an end to the heroin chic era. Gisele has since been in campaigns for major fashion houses, such as Ralph Lauren, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Valentino, Celine, Gianfranco Ferre, and Chloe. Aside from Vogue she has been on the cover of pretty much every significant magazine, including Vogue Italia, Marie Claire, GQ, Harper's Bazaar, Arena, Allure, and Rolling Stone.

While her best friend may be her dog Vida ("life" in Portuguese), Gisele Bundchen has been romantically linked to male model Scott Barnhill, billionaire Joao-Paulo Diniz and actor Josh Hartnett. She and Leonardo DiCaprio had one of the most famous on-again, off-again romances in Hollywood, with the two finally calling it quits after five years in November 2005. What? No more paparazzi photos of the most beautiful couple in Hollywood? Gisele had better plans in store.
