Tiffany & Co. today announced that Maria will wear Paloma Picasso earrings at the 2009 Wimbledon Championships, June 22 - July 5 at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.The partnership between Maria and Tiffany & Co. provides the tennis star with Tiffany earrings to wear at each of the four Grand Slam events: the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and US Open. Called Tiffany for Maria Sharapova, the special group of earrings captures her natural grace and style and gives customers and fans access to the Tiffany jewelry preferred by the three-time Grand Slam winner.
The earrings selected for Wimbledon are a custom-made 18 karat gold drop design from Paloma's Zellige collection, based on centuries-old mosaic patterns that surround the fountain at Paloma Picasso's home in Morocco.
