TMZ just released an audiotape of a 911 call made by ESPN reporter Erin Andrews -- aka, the latest semi-celebrity to be photographed naked unknowingly (or is it "unknowingly?" More on that in a minute) -- during which Andrews complains about "suspicious people" doing the kind of things that only suspicious people do, like standing and sitting, near her home in Georgia. Check out the phone call here.
"I've been in the news recently about being in a hotel naked." said Andrews during the call. "I did nothing wrong, and I'm being treated like f***ing Britney Spears, and it sucks."
Soon after, police discovered that the "suspicious people" were reporters looking for a story about Erin Andrews' peeping Tom incident.
Give a listen to the TMZ tape and let us know what you think. Speculation as to the legitimacy (or rather, the illegitimacy) of the Erin Andrews incident has been building steam over the past couple of days, and we think that this audio release will only add fuel to the fire. Specifically, why does Andrews overtly spell out what made her news-worthy in the first place to the 911 operator?
We would never wish a peeping Tom on anyone or a paparazzi infestation outside anyone's home, but we've also seen our share of "leaked" tapes, and this one is starting to get a weird smell around it. What are your thoughts? Do you think someone was possibly behind it? A leaked tape made Paris Hilton famous at one time too. Or is the Erin Andrews video just what it appears to be: a peeping-tom project from some random pervert?
